The Government today set up a committee to look into all the matters related to IAS. The committee has been framed under the Chairmanship of Atal Dulloo, Financial Commissioner and consists of Manoj Devadi, IAS, Shaleen Kabra among other IAS officers in J&K.
The committee has been mandated to review strength of IAS in J&K and promotion quota of J&K Government officers in IAS. According to highly placed sources, the quota of J&K which was 50% earlier is set to decrease to 33%. The Union Government had earlier requested the state to frame such a committee but it was not done by the previous Chief Ministers of J&K.
